The Mapfile1 Error

May 11, 2008 | Leave a Comment

You may get a Mapfile1 – Access is denied error message when you try to start Internet Explorer or Windows Mail.

Mapfile1 is linked to software for ATI graphics cards, and the error is found on some PC’s that have been upgraded to Windows Vista from an earlier version of Windows.

The best solution is to locate new drivers (and software) from your graphics card manufacturer.

Make sure its compatible with Vista…. if not then get a new graphics card that is!

Can Not Play DVD In Vista Business

May 2, 2008 | Leave a Comment

Can’t play DVDs under Windows Vista Business?

Keep getting an error message advising you to lower the screen resolution settings?

This is because Vista Business does not come with a DVD codec installed to playback DVD content.

To get around this install a DVD Plugin from CyberLink:
