Disabling The Windows Vista Startup Sound

You can easily disable the Windows Vista startup sound if you would rather not have it running when you start up your system. To remove the Windows startup sound:

  • Click on the Start Button and type in Sound in the search box
  • Select Sound from the results list
  • Click on the Sounds tab
  • Remove the check from Play Windows Startup sound check box
  • Click OK
