How Long Has Vista Been Started?

It’s sometimes useful to know how long Windows has been running.
On a Windows Vista PC or Laptop you need to go to the Performance Tab of Task Manager.
To summon the Task Manager select Control-Alt-Delete (often abbreviated to Ctrl+Alt+Del).
Now select the Performance Tab and on the righ hand side look for the System section and “Up Time”.
In Windows Vista, the measurement of “up time” does NOT include any time when the system was sleeping or hibernating.
